Woking Park, Surrey Miles Contractors were awarded this contract to provide street lighting and CCTV services to Woking Park & Leisure Centre. This involved the erection of more than 200 street light columns (with our own equipment), installation of 147 brick inspection pits and manhole covers and over 3000 metres of cable ducting. The site was an original Victorian refuse tip which also included work to reseed a putting green to match the existing green and to cut and then make good a large number of footpaths. Our work on this project made the local papers, and was given wide media coverage including a visit by the mayor of Woking!
